Since it’s very late 
in the afternoon,
long past time for lunch,
please pardon my
dishevelment.
Your visit comes
too early
to hide my lassitude.
But I have a sneaky hunch
you don’t give a damn
about my confusion
of day for night
and dark for light,
or for your intrusion
